"The Solar, today’s-energy"
Indian
Population is keep on growing every day,
consequently the energy need is also growing every day. The electricity charges
are also too high and unaffordable for the middle class people. The solar is
today’s-energy, which is a clean and renewable energy.
The
Solar power system can satisfy your 100% day today domestic needs at an
affordable cost. You can live without electricity problem at your home. No electricity
charges, no brake ups.. How does this solar works??
Solar
Electric System Technology
Sun’s
energy is called either as light or heat. The process of converting light
(Photons) to electricity (voltage) is called the photovoltaic (PV) effect.
To
generate Electricity (PV Effect) we require
- Sunlight (photons)
- Solar Panels
- Storage unit (battery)
- Inverters
Solar
Panel:
Now
using this how the energy created?
To
generate Electricity the sun race has to hot the solar capturing panels. The solar
panels consist of Photovoltaic cells. These cells are made up of two layers of
semiconducting silicon :
- N-Type Silicon Layer
- P-Type Silicon Layer
Once
the sufficient sun light hits the Antireflective Solar cells, passes between N
to P, striking the electrical field, the voltage (Direct Current DC) generated.
Not
the Electricity is created, what’s the next stage? How this volt is used?..? It
has to be sent to the battery.
Battery:
The
solar batteries is made up of cells. . Each cells can hold a specific amount of
energy depending on the size of the battery. The Solar Battery is attached to
the solar panels. The generated DC is sent to the battery through wires either for
storing or for powering the devise. The batteries depends upon its purpose, the small batteries are used for
calculator or watches, a larger batteries can satisfy the entire power need of
a house. It store energy and provides it to you in the night. It also does a major role in the day time, it is not safe to get the direct output of the
solar panel, a solar panel produces high voltage of power and it may damage the
electronics.
Inverter:
The
Solar battery transfers the stored DC to the inverter. The inverter converts
the Direct Current to Alternating Current which is used in many of the electric
and electronic equipments. The inverters capacity is defined in Watt. The appropriate inverter is to be selected
depending on the purpose of use.
A
little history and the development of Solar system:
Do
you know what is the first solar devise? It the solar oven.. long back in 1767,
a saussure’s box widely known as the first solar oven, which reaches the
maximum of 3300 FH. In the year of 1908, the storage unit for solar
energy is built. In 1958 the solar power is used in space for Satellites. The
first solar powered car is invented in Australia in 1982. The solar power awareness
is developed among the general public between 1990 to 2000 in foreign countries.
"We have to think what is the awareness that our Tamils have on solar Technology."
